Infertility Unfiltered: Why Sharing Our Truth Matters

This week is National Infertility Awareness Week, and the theme—Infertility Unfiltered—couldn’t be more fitting.
Because if you’re anything like me, infertility didn’t just challenge your body. It shook your identity. It tested your marriage. It stole your breath at baby showers. And for some of us, it ended—not with a baby—but with a future we never saw coming.
I used to think that if I did everything “right,” if I worked hard enough, hoped hard enough, and tried every possible treatment… motherhood would follow. It didn’t. And for a long time, that truth felt too heavy to speak out loud.
But something shifted when I started to say it anyway. This is what infertility really looked like for me. This is how it ended. This is who I am now.
And while sharing my story wasn’t easy, it’s become one of the most powerful parts of my healing.
Infertility unfiltered means acknowledging:
The pain of miscarriage and failed treatments
The grief that doesn’t vanish when trying ends
The pressure to “move on” before your heart is ready
The isolation of living in a world that assumes you’ll become a mother eventually
The quiet courage it takes to build a joyful life after that dream ends
When I stopped hiding the hard parts, something amazing happened: I found connection. I found other women who said, “Me too.” I found healing in community—and slowly, I started rediscovering joy, hope, and purpose again.
And now? Supporting others through Family Redefined with Lisa has become one of the most meaningful parts of my journey. It reminds me every day that we are not broken. We are not less. We are still worthy of a beautiful life.
So if you’re reading this and you’re still in that heavy, quiet place—please know this:
💛 You don’t have to filter your story.
💛 You don’t have to walk this path alone.
💛 And joy? It is still available to you.
Because infertility unfiltered isn’t just about telling the hard truths. It’s about showing what’s possible on the other side of them.
With love and solidarity,

Lisa 💛
